Hello, it’s Shawn from Catalina Rug here! I’m excited to take you on a journey through our updated search filters available on all our collection pages. This feature enhancement comes as a response to your feedback, and now it’s the perfect time to demonstrate its new capabilities.
Location of Search Filters
The search filters are located on the left side of any collection page. For instance, they’re on the Oriental Rugs page where all our rugs are displayed. Naturally, you’ll find the same filters across other category pages too.
In-Stock Switch
First off, we’ve added a convenient ‘In Stock’ switch. This allows you to filter down to only display rugs in stock and unsold. Simply click the switch and it’ll show you the available rugs.
Dimension Filters
Our width and length filters have received a facelift too, providing a cleaner user interface. With the added feature of displaying the number of available rugs in parentheses next to each dimension, the selection process becomes easier and more informative. For example, if you select an eight feet width, you’ll see that there are 260 rugs available in that size.
Price and On Sale Filters
We’ve also upgraded our price filter, which now allows you to manually input the price range you’re looking for. This added flexibility simplifies the task of filtering rugs within a specific budget. The ‘On Sale’ switch is another addition, and with a single click, it filters down and shows you rugs currently on sale.
Color, Brightness, Design, and Rug Type Filters
The color filter remains mostly unchanged, but now provides additional information about the color when you hover over each one. Other pre-existing filters include the brightness of the rug, the design, and the rug type. Whether you’re looking for a specific rug type like Tabriz or Bakhtiari, you can select these filters, and it will show you just those rugs.
Pile Thickness Filter
Lastly, we’ve introduced a filter for pile thickness. This allows you to refine your search based on the desired thickness of the rug.
Rug SKU in Search Results
An important update worth mentioning is the addition of a rug SKU in the search results. This enables you to jot down the rugs you like if you prefer not to add them to your wishlist. It’s a simple way to keep track of your preferences.
