Description
Antique Kashan rugs are among the most beautiful rugs in Iran. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the city of Kashan was designated as the workshop for weaving royal carpets. Some Kashan rugs have silk highlights in the pile.
Measuring 4’6″ x 6’9″, this antique Persian rug reflects the highest level of craftsmanship of Kashan weavers. The red, brown, purple, blue, green, and beige colors in the floral design are stunning, and the rug’s intricate knotting details are simply amazing. The silk and wool pile gives it a plush and comfortable feel while the cotton foundation ensures its durability.
With a knot density of approx. 324 KPSI, this piece was completed after approximately 164 days. We recommend pairing this 110-120-year-old rug with modern furniture in your dining room, bedroom, or entryway.
