Catalina Rug

We were honored to invite Jim and his wife to share with us their joy as a vault rug owner.

Catalina : Why did you choose catalina?

Jim : I chose Catalina because of the price, selection and worry-free return policy. So easy to do business with!

Catalina : Why did you choose this type of rug?

Jim : My wife and I are finishing building our forever house. We chose to use Persian carpets as a way to bring vibrant color, amazing heritage and fond memories into our home.

Catalina : What’s your favorite type of rug and why?

Jim : As for favorite carpets, I go first for Tabriz, with the high quality weaving, intricate patterns and the center medallion that draws one in. I am also fond of Qum, Isfahan and Hamadan carpets.

Catalina : When did you buy your first rug?

Jim : I bought my first carpets in 1976 in the central bazaar in Tehran. One is a Baluch prayer rug, and the other is a garish orange and blue of forgotten origin, but it was all I could afford!!

Catalina : How many rugs do you own?

Jim : We have a total of eleven rugs and runners (four of which came from Catalina!). They hail from various regions of Iran, in addition to an Agra, a Turkish rug and a Pakistani rug.
