Small Silk Rugs

Small Silk Rugs

Silk used in the Persian rug industry, particularly for hand-knotted rugs, must meet very high quality standards. Some of the finest silk is sourced from China and India and is then sent to other parts of the world where it is hand-knotted into a beautiful rug.

Silk Persian rugs are tightly woven and have a high knot count, with genuine silk rugs typically having more than 500 knots per square inch (KPSI). Real silk Persian rugs also have a short pile, which is trimmed tightly to showcase the details and patterns of the rug and protect the fibers.

You can find many beautiful small silk Persian rugs in sizes ranging from 2' x 3' to 5' x 7'.
