Description
Aged 60-70 years, this beautiful 11’5″ x 14’5″ Persian Tabriz rug is a true heirloom.
Expertly crafted in Tabriz, a city in northwestern Iran known for its beautiful rugs, the Tabriz is a knot-by-knot masterpiece of opulent beauty and traditional style. The floral design is so intricate that it took approximately 1319 days to complete the rug.
You can see how much effort goes into weaving each inch with the high knot density of 324 KPSI which makes it durable and long-lasting as well. The colors are warm and vibrant, with shades of blue, red, brown, and beige creating an excellent contrast in a living room setting. Adding another level of luxury and comfort is the 1/2″-5/8″ pile thickness.
A Beautiful Garden
When you take a closer look at the floral details of this rug, it’s like looking at a picture of a beautiful garden with all the flowers growing together. The colors are so vibrant and alive that you can practically see the flowers grow.
The life in this rug reflects the story of two flowers.
In the early spring two seeds were dropped not far from a river. One grew into a daisy, while the other grew into a beautiful rose. They grew up together and became the best of friends. The rose wished to someday travel the world and see faraway places. They told the daisy that they wanted to find out what it was like where other flowers grew.
The daisy asked the rose why it would want to leave when this garden was the perfect place for them, and that they would be lonely in the garden without the rose.
The rose agreed, saying that they agreed and promised that they would never leave their place by the river. This can be seen in the rug through the connection of tendrils between all of the flowers linking and uniting them.
The next day, a young child was walking by the garden and saw the flowers. “Oh, what a lovely flower” she said, looking at the rose, “I’ll take it home and give it to my mother”.
The child plucked the rose and carried it away. The child took the flower home where it was loud and busy and not fit for the rose. They placed the rose in a vase and in a few days the pretty rose wilted. The daisy mourned the loss of his friend, knowing that they would never be together again.
The moral of the story is that if you see flowers growing sweetly together, do not pick one and put it in a vase on the table, but leave it there. Even for flowers, life is better together. Which is how the flowers in this lovely rug are. Growing together in a harmonious garden.
The exquisite floral design and rich colors made of vegetable dyes gives the rug a natural and organic look, reflecting the welcoming and inviting atmosphere of a thriving garden.
